Frequently Asked Questions

Desire Resort Riviera Maya

What exactly does clothing-optional mean?

If you choose to go topless or naked at the pool, or on the beach or roof-top spa lounge, this is totally your choice. Desire is a no-pressure resort. There is never any pressure for you to wear anything, not wear anything or participate in any activities. Our guests are mature and sophisticated; a "live and let live" philosophy is key to the enjoyment of an unforgettable vacation.

Cover-ups are required where food is served, in the lobby and certain other public areas. Pretty much anything goes for your dress at the night club. Each night there is a theme party and very sexy dress. You can be as revealing as you feel comfortable.

Are the nude areas open to outsiders?

All beaches in Mexico are considered public, therefore the beach can't be blocked from people walking by. There is also another Adults-Only resort close to Desire, so you may see couples occasionally walking down the beach. Once they see what fun you are having, we are sure their next vacation will be at Desire. Outsiders are not allowed in the resort or at the Desire clothing-optional pool area.

Do you allow day or night passes?

Desire is a clothing-optional resort for couples only. Desire is a resort and not a "club" as many of you know, and does not sell day passes for anyone with money to walk through and look at guests sunbathing naked. This is for the privacy of the registered guests. For couples that want to visit with registered guests, the registered guest can go to the front desk and buy a "Friends Pass" for $150 per couple for twelve hours. Only a REGISTERED GUEST can purchase these passes.

Is this a resort for swingers?

Desire Resort is a "Lifestyles Friendly" resort. The makeup of the guests are generally one of three groups of people.

  1. Sexy Couples coming to the resort to have an adult vacation experience, and have the sexy fun they used to have before the kids.
  2. Clothing-optional couples that come to Desire to escape the strict rules of the nudist resorts that require you top be naked from the moment you check-in.
  3. Lifestyle Couples (swingers if you are from the 60's) Many Lifestyles couples come to Desire Resort for the clothing-optional, highly sensual atmosphere that lends easily to socializing with like-minded couples.
